My daughter and I have tried a few DIFFERENT types of rollers the past month. These rollers are definitely not like the ones you used to see women in 70’s shows wear while they were at home.
The first rollers you see below are not heated. They’re flexible sticks that can be bent to any shape.
I rolled up my hair and made 5 buns using those long foam roller sticks on freshly washed and dried hair at night. Then it came out super super curly the next morning and it held its curl for 2 days until I decided to wash my hair.
Hair next morning:
Hair brushed out:
Verdict: My hair came out way more curlier than I usually wear my hair. But it definitely was curly for 2 entire days! I will consider using maybe just 3 rollers that way the curls are not so tight. But if you’re looking for CURLS and not waves, these sticks work amazingly well with no heat to your hair!
Second roller was the Bedhead Roll Call Bubble Hairsetter. I used to own a Revlon and Conair regular rollers that you secured your hair with flimsy pins. After reading countless reviews on many different hair rollers/setters, I decided to give this one a try for its unique look.
I used all 5 of the long rollers and 1 smaller one on my hair on dry hair in the morning. I had it in for about 20 minutes while I got ready, then this was the result!
Verdict: This is the type of curls that I like- long, big waves and not tight curls. I didn’t need hairspray and my hair lasted this way almost the entire day.
I’ve been using and LOVING curling irons for the past few years that I’ve lived without a hair setter like these(See video below on how I always achieve big, sexy curls easily with a curling wand). But I like having a few different options when it comes to curling my hair!
